National Cancer Institute (NCI) CTIS developed the Cancer Therapy Evaluation Program – Enterprise System (CTEP-ESYS), which includes more than 20 applications that support cancer clinical trials. It collects data on 1,500 ongoing cancer clinical trials and monitors more than 30,000 patients per year, in more than 17 disease areas. CTIS also worked on automating the IRB approval process for the Central Institutional Review Board (CIRB).

National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) We built the Division of Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome – Enterprise System (DAIDS-ES) that provides an informatics track to more than 300 new international performance sites conducting AIDS trials. The sites are located in 27 countries, 20 of which are developing countries with a total of 3,000 users. CTIS has also worked with the DAIDS – Regulatory Compliance Center (DAIDS–RCC) for management of consulting and informatics applications for HIV/AIDS patients.

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) CTIS developed a pilot application (mWarrior) with Raydon Corporation for implementation at the VA/DoD. The application focuses on improving early detection, screening, and treatment for post-traumatic stress disorder and mild traumatic brain injury among war veterans.

National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities (NIMHD) CTIS has been awarded a grant to build the Transdisciplinary Coordination Center (TCC) as defined by The Health Policy Research Consortium (HPRC) Program. The purpose of the center is to limit disparities in healthcare among social, ethnic, and racial groups in the DC, MD, and VA areas. In particular, this project will focus on the ways in which health policies influence access to adequate and affordable healthcare.

National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute (NHLBI) CTIS developed a web-based clinical database system to assist the intramural program in managing data and coordinating clinical studies for four of its branches: Hematology, Cardiology, Pulmonary, and Critical Care. Our system is compliant with industry standards, such as the Medical Dictionary for Regulatory Activities (MedDRA) and 21 CFR Part 11.

National Health Information Network (NHIN) CTIS implemented and integrated more than 25 software components through our managed hosting environment for North Carolina Healthcare Information and Communications Alliance (NCHICA) and MedVA. Our perspective was represented in the prototype implementation for the NHIN1 (prototype architecture) and the NHIN2 (trial implementation).
